If you’re looking for an experience that blends the elegance of the imperial cities with the majesty of the desert, this 8-day, 7-night tour is designed for you. It’s more than a trip—it’s a complete immersion in Morocco’s contrasts: from the Atlantic breeze to the absolute silence of the dunes.
We’ll travel through history in Rabat and Fez, lose ourselves in the lush Azrou Forest, experience the vastness of the Sahara, and finish amid the boundless energy of Marrakech.
DAY 1: CASABLANCA
You will be met upon arrival at Mohammad V Airport in Casablanca and escorted to your hotel. Our guide will give you a brief overview of your tour. Overnight with dinner in Casablanca.
DAY 2: CASABLANCA - MARRAKECH
Breakfast, then depart for Marrakech, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the city, including the Menara Gardens, Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs and Bahia Palace. Explore the remarkable medina and the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa square, with its captivating performances and charming souks.
DAY 3: MARRAKECH - DADES GORGE
Depart Marrakech in the morning for the Dades Gorge. Along the way, we’ll cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass, passing through numerous Berber villages inhabited by nomads. We continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses before reaching the Dades Gorge, where the “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs” begins. Overnight in the Dades Valley, with dinner at the hotel.
DAY 4: DADES GORGE - TODRA GORGE - MERZOUGA
After breakfast, we head to Todra Gorge, where you can enjoy a pleasant walk beneath the towering canyon walls, which rise more than 200 metres. We then continue through the Tafilalt palm grove to the edge of the desert. Upon arrival, our dromedaries will be waiting to take us on a one-and-a-half-hour ride across the sand dunes to the heart of the desert, where we’ll watch a beautiful sunset. Surrounded by the Great Dune, enjoy the music of the drums, dinner and Moroccan tea, take in the vast starry sky and sleep in tents
DAY 5: MERZOUGA - ZIZ VALLEY - AZROU FOREST - FEZ
After breakfast, we set off north through the Tafilalt palm grove, the largest in the world. You’ll see thousands of palm trees along the 20-kilometre road. The route takes us to the Ziz Valley, where the river flows down from the High Atlas and nourishes the palm grove. We’ll stop at a lookout point to enjoy magnificent views of the valley and the town of Aoufous. We’ll make another stop in Midelt, in the heart of the Atlas, where you’ll have free time for lunch and a rest. In the afternoon, we continue through the cedar forests, where, if we’re lucky, we’ll spot some monkeys. Next, we’ll visit Ifrane, on the northwestern slopes of the Middle Atlas, at an altitude of 1,630 metres. Its wide avenues, well-planned urban layout, immaculate streets, gardens, green spaces and architecture give the city a distinctly Swiss feel. Ifrane seems out of place in Morocco, which is why it’s known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” It even has a major ski resort, Michlifen. Around 6 pm, we arrive in Fez and transfer to the hotel.
DAY 6: FEZ
After breakfast, we’ll set out on a full-day tour of Fez, the oldest of the Imperial Cities, founded by Idris I (789) and his son Moulay Idris II (810). We’ll visit the medieval medina and its madrasas (Islamic religious schools), Attarine and Bou Inania, the Nejjarine Fountain, the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss and the Karaouine Mosque. After an optional local lunch, we’ll continue to Fez Jdid (New Fez) before returning to our hotel. Overnight in Fez.
DAY 7: FEZ - MEKNES - VOLUBILIS - RABAT
Arrive in Meknes in the morning and visit its medina, or old town, and Bab el Mansour, the monumental main gateway to this 17th-century city. Then stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis, Morocco’s finest archaeological site, with its mosaics, temples and triumphal arch. Continue to the village of Moulay Idriss, named after the saint who founded Morocco’s first Islamic kingdom. Arrive in Rabat in the afternoon for a brief tour of Morocco’s capital. The panoramic tour includes the medina (old town), with its white and stone buildings and large dark wooden studded doors; Hassan Tower, whose intricate stonework dominates the skyline; and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, which houses the late king’s onyx tomb. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 8: RABAT - CASABLANCA
At the agreed time, we’ll pick you up from your accommodation and transfer you to the airport, where we’ll help you check in your bags and show you to your departure gate. End of our services.
